Handling Life’s Conflict Programme – WAVE Trauma Centre

Youth Link recently responded to a training request from the Wave Trauma Centre in North Belfast.
WAVE, a grass roots, cross community, voluntary organisation was formed in 1991 to support people affected as a result of violence in Northern Ireland. Tricia Magee, the Youth worker, in charge asked Youth Link to deliver the ‘Handling Life's Conflict’ Programme to help the group explore conflict in their lives and communities.
The training provided an interactive experience for participants – this included a trip to the cinema to watch a movie exploring identity and an opportunity to hear from people who were directly afffected by the troubles.
The participants hope to continue their relationship with Youth Link and acquire further training in the future.
