Greater Belfast Training

Greater Belfast YESIP Youth Work/EDI OCN Level 3

 

Youth Link engaged with 20 participants in Level 3 youth work/EDI training and the represented organisations including YMCA, Saints YC, Greater Belfast Integrated Services, YFC and local Church based groups e.g. Mountpottinger Methodist Youth Group.

 

This training has helped participants to consider how developing youth programmes may contribute to better community relations and trust and tolerance in the community.

 

The group are also exploring how to deal with difficulties that can arise in a group work situation and how good group facilitation can build trust and tolerance.  In the second semester, participants will progress to undertake assessed practice in their own youth work context in order to demonstrate competence in directly working with young people on programmes and projects which engage them at an in-depth level.
