Annual Certificate Presentation

Youth Link’s Annual Presentation of Certificate’s Ceremony was held on 23 June 2010 in Belfast City Hall. 

 

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Pat Convery, welcomed everyone to the City Hall, commended the youth workers and young people on their work and congratulated them on completing various youth work and community relations programmes through Youth Link.  Gavin Boyd, Chief Executive (Designate) Education Skills Authority, also addressed those present. 

 

Approximately 500 young people and youth workers were awarded certificates during the academic year, 2009/10, and over 200 were presented with their certificates at the event.  Presentations were made by Rev Donald Ker, General Secretary Methodist Church, Rev Robert Miller, Church of Ireland, Right Rev Norman Hamilton, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church and Most Rev Donal McKeown, Auxiliary Bishop of Down & Connor.
