OCN L2 Community Relations Work

Youth Link: NI is now recruiting for 

The Community Volunteer OCN L2  Community Relations Work – An Equity, Diversity and Interdependence Training Programme

as part of The Apprenticeship Peace Programme 

 

This programme is designed for people from all walks of life who want to develop their understanding of and ability to work effectively with young people on a cross-community basis. 

 

The programme will commence on Thursday 19 January at 7:00pm in our Training and Resource Centre at Farset Enterprise Park. Each candidate must be aged 18 years or above and have a youth work placement located within North and West Belfast or be willing to carry out a placement in this locality. 

 

Preference will be given to candidates who are currently associated or volunteering with one of our existing partners within The Apprenticeship Peace Programme.This programme consists of 30 hours of actual tutor /participant contact time.  In addition, participants will be expected to spend a minimum of 20 hours working with young people in a youth work / youth ministry setting over the duration of the course.  Further time may be needed for individuals to complete associated tasks – approximately 10 hours. 

 

The programme is a competence-based programme and is assessed through portfolio building and a witness testimony from the candidate’s supervisor.   

 

This programme is funded through The International Fund for Ireland as part of Youth Link’s Apprenticeship Peace Programme and there are no costs for participants who meet the aforementioned criteria
